OPERATIONAL RULES:

 

  1. Management and control of the cemetery shall be vested in the trustees of said cemetery;
  2. Any person of lawful age may purchase lots for burial of deceased persons by applying to the trustees and upon paying the purchase price, receive conveyance of title.
  3. Effective May 1, 2020, any grave lots that have not received burials for 100 years or more shall be retro ceded to Wildey Odd Fellows Cemetery, pursuant to Missouri State Statute 214.209.
  4. Care of grave lots, graves, monuments, trees, flowers (real or artificial) and cemetery grounds in general will be as deemed necessary by the board of trustees. Artificial flowers and/or any items used to decorate graves may be removed at the discretion of the board of trustees without posted notice. As of January 1, 2012, solar or battery-operated lights of any kind are not permitted.
  5. No plantings of trees, flowers, shrubs, etc. nor the erection of fencing or other structure outlining graves or grave lots will be permitted without express written consent of the board of trustees. Same may be removed at the discretion of said trustees.
  6. Any person destroying or otherwise damaging monuments, trees, flowers, fencing or structure on cemetery grounds will be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
  7. Corner markers for grave lots are not permitted as of September 4, 2001.
  8. Only one monument per grave is allowed. A 2nd monument is only allowed for military markers and cremains, placed on top of an existing grave and should be level with the ground. Foot markers and individual markers on lots that have a family monument must be placed level with the ground. Temporary grave markers shall be removed when a monument is set.
  9. No headstone or monument may be installed, moved, or altered without prior approval from the board of trustees as of January 1, 2023.
  10. There shall be no re-use or re-purchasing of graves with existing monuments or interments without prior approval of the board of trustees as of January 1, 2023.
  11. The public shall generally have the privilege to visit the cemetery during sunrise to sunset hours using the ways and avenues designed for that purpose.
