TWO TAVERNS CEMETERY RULES AND REGULATIONS

Two Taverns Cemetery or staff will NOT be liable for theft or damage to grave sites,

markers, or personal vehicles.

 

 

TWO TAVERNS CEMETERY, LLC was organized as a cemetery corporation in 2020. It contains 2 acres and was originally GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH CEMETERY in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Today, TWO TAVERNS CEMETERY, LLC is in Mt. Joy Township and serves all of Adams County and the surrounding suburbs. The cemetery was created in 1877 and has been the final resting place of soldiers from the Civil War, World Wars I and II, Korean War, and Vietnam. TWO TAVERNS CEMETERY, LLC offers a range of cemetery services, including traditional ground burial, cremation burial, cremation scattering, and green burials. In accordance with Pennsylvania Law, all cemeteries are required to contribute to the Trust/Perpetual Care Fund, which is designed to provide income for proper maintenance of the cemetery.

 

-All purchases of lots at Two Taverns Cemetery will have a Deed issued to the purchasing owner.

-A portion of the sales price will be placed in a Perpetual Care Trust Fund for the purpose of maintaining the cemetery, markers, memorial, tombstones, and general maintenance.

-Any issues, concerns, or complaints shall be addressed to the Two Taverns Cemetery Office or Brandenburg & Stein Funeral Parlor.

-The Cemetery will be open and may be visited every day of the year from sunrise to sunset. The Cemetery office and/or Funeral Home will be open weekdays from 8:00am to 4:00pm, Saturdays as needed or by appointment, and closed on Sundays and major holidays.

-Burials will be required to take place prior to 2 pm on weekdays. Any burials after 2 pm on weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays will incur overtime charges set forth by the Cemetery.

-No vehicles can be driven in the Cemetery.

-Do not touch, take, or remove anything from a gravesite. Violators will be subject to criminal charges.

-Please ensure all trash is disposed of properly.

-Solicitation is NOT authorized or allowed in the Cemetery.

-No glass is to be placed on gravesites.

-Photography is NOT allowed, unless approved by Cemetery.

-Children are always to be accompanied by an adult.

-Pets are allowed on a leash and controlled by owner. Please remove all pet droppings.

-Placing potted flowers, plants, artificial flowers, summer wreaths or baskets on lots and graves is not permitted from 10 days after Easter through November 15, except on Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Memorial Day and Veteran's Day; same shall be removed within ten (10) days of holiday. Flowers may be placed in vase provided; no glass vases are allowed.

-Seasonal decorations may be placed at gravesite but must be removed 30 days after the official holiday, Cemetery staff will remove after 30 days and discard.

-No person shall pluck or remove any plant or flower, either wild or cultivated, from any part of the Cemetery.

-The digging of holes by anyone other than TWO TAVERNS CEMETERY, LLC's personnel for any purpose whatsoever is strictly prohibited.
