Mt. Zion Cemetery is located at 17683 Hwy. 933 in Prairieville, LA. Our cemetery dates back to the mid-late 1800's and is the final resting place to over 800 loved ones. It's history can be traced back to many of the original settlers of the Galvez area who came from the Canary Islands and Europe. Mt. Zion Cemetery was placed into the ownership and care of Household of Faith Church in 2017 and registered with the Louisiana State Cemetery Board in 2020. Our goal is to create and maintain a beautiful, peaceful place for families to memorialize their loved ones for years to come. With it's rich history, sprawling live oak trees and serene location, Mt. Zion Cemetery is ideal for celebrating, memorializing and remembering your family's legacy.
