Rules & Regulations
General Conduct
- Hillside Cemetery is a place of remembrance and reflection. Visitors are expected to conduct themselves respectfully at all times.
- Loud or disruptive behavior is not permitted.
- The cemetery reserves the right to ask any individual to leave the premises if conduct is deemed inappropriate.
Hours of Operation
- The cemetery is open to visitors during posted hours.
- Access outside of these hours is not permitted without prior authorization.
Vehicles & Parking
- Vehicles must remain on designated roadways at all times.
- Parking on grass, near graves, or in restricted areas is prohibited.
- Speed limits within the cemetery must be observed.
Decorations & Memorial Items
- Flowers and decorations are permitted but must be placed in a manner that does not interfere with maintenance.
- The cemetery reserves the right to remove items that are damaged, unsightly, or placed outside designated areas.
- Seasonal or temporary decorations may be removed after an appropriate period.
Maintenance & Groundskeeping
- Routine maintenance, including mowing and trimming, will be conducted regularly.
- The cemetery is not responsible for items left on graves that are lost, damaged, or removed during maintenance.
Monuments & Markers
- All monuments, markers, and inscriptions must meet cemetery guidelines and may require prior approval before installation.
- Unauthorized installation or alteration of monuments is not permitted.
Burials & Interments
- All burials and interments must be scheduled in advance with cemetery management.
- Only authorized personnel may perform burial-related activities.
Pets
- Pets are permitted only if leashed and under control at all times.
- Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
Prohibited Activities
- Alcohol, illegal substances, and firearms are strictly prohibited.
- Solicitation, advertising, or commercial activities are not allowed without prior approval.
- Damage to cemetery property, including monuments, landscaping, or structures, is strictly prohibited.
Liability
- Visitors enter the cemetery at their own risk.
- Hillside Cemetery is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or lost or stolen items.
